The only thing that bothered me throughout was that the story is supposedly set in 1884. The Frank Griffin character was a survivor of the Mountain Meadows Massacre which happened in Sep 1857. By 1884, Frank would've only been in his early 30s. He was clearly portrayed as being much older than that.
