Excellent! 1864 is one of the most moving period piece/ war dramas that I’ve seen. The acting and storytelling was superb and I found myself really invested in the characters and their experiences. The battle scenes were riveting, gritty and very realistic. It gave the viewer a very good idea of what men experienced during warfare in that time. As an American it was interesting to learn a little bit about Danish history and also imagine what the battles of The American Civil War were like. I can’t recommend this enough, it is that good!

Smart and spooky with soul and a sense of humor. Very entertaining!

Thoroughly gripping epic. The overall story is well thought out, well paced, exciting and beautiful to look at. At times the dialogue seems a little adolescent but it does not take away from the overall value of the production and how entertaining SEE is . Highly recommended!
