Your new favorite movie. I had started this movie a while ago and just couldn't get into it. Then the song went viral (you know what song) and I had to check it out again. I'm so glad I did. It made me cry because I identified so much with Patty. It's not the cliche manic pixie dream girl. She's a straight up weirdo who doesn't change, but is instead discovered. She's in fact a musical genius. It's so heartwarming. Give it a shot. You'll love it. You need to take it down a notch too.

It was ok. The cinematography feels like a call back to older horror movies. I feel like it was campy. It was a good old fashioned, fun satanic panic movie. I don't know where these professional critics are getting it as a master class horror movie though. I would just say it's a fun watch, but there is a lot of times where it start up doesn't make sense. The music is cool. I don't know. Nicolas Cage is a fun tall freak. Over hyped, absolutely.
