Recently started rewatching this. Absolutely amazing! Really good values, realistic character growth and Peggy Hill (though she denies it) is a feminist icon. She's strong, kind and ladylike at the same time. She's a great mother. Bobby is a sweet yet impressionable boy.
Hank is a really good person and even though some of his views can be very rigid - he always tries to do the right thing and his wife balances him out in any moment he says or does something insensitive. He apologizes and learns from his mistakes.
I feel like they are a lovely family and the show tackles many issues with great humour, wittiness and compassion.
It's both hilarious and wholesome.
Edit : after Season 1 the show is still funny and wholesome (S2 is zany) but many episodes S3 are quite sad. Still a good show. Loving Bobby more I get to know him - he's so creative.
Luanne deserves so much better. If you ever felt lost and alone - but keep trying anyway - you may be able to relate to Luanne. She's extremely sweet and you just want to give her a hug.
