Linklater does it again. This trilogy is by far the most original and captivating character romance I have ever seen. The perfect amount of tragedy is put into each of these films with this one being the most lovely display of that side of the romantic coin.

Linklater’s ability to connect the audience with these characters is masterful.

Unprecedented artistry. This is a fine film that rewrites the methods for the audience to feel a connection between characters.

From the 'business as usual' attitude in the gruesome opening credits to the masterfully artful action shots and creative chapter titles, this movie delivered a genuine comic book feel from start to finish. The jokes were quality and the action was spectacular. The characters developed and were true to themselves. The story had good stakes at just the right moments. We also got a look into the minds of our main antiheros and each one had a scene that was just for them to show who they were. This was a fun movie that I put up there with Guardians of The Galaxy 1 and Thor Ragnorok as one of the funniest and coolest super hero movies ever.

I understand that this film may have been groundbreaking in its time, but this is simply a film review from someone in his 20's in 2021. Another horror movie that has no believable characters. They all have stupidly simple motives with zero nuance. The movie relies fully on main characters making uncharacteristically poor decisions every step of the way. Just lazy, boring writing that wants to get to the killings and horror by any means. I laughed once, and that was because of a really clever piece of special effects. The two stars are for the gory effects and a couple of excellent zombie performances. Everything else was boring. How am I supposed to enjoy a movie with a bunch of incongruent characters bumbling around? The dialogue was pretty lame too. Watch it for the special effects and expect nothing else cool or entertaining.

This is a horror film of the highest order. The pace is fantastic and the characters seem to never be so dumb that you’re pissed at them (a common issue in the horror genre). As far as 1950’s film goes, this is easily in the top 10.

Didn’t chuckle or get a hint of humor once. The originality of the idea alone has made this a movie people remember, but that doesn’t mean the movie is worth watching.

The protagonist and antagonist are both quite boring. They don't develop at all. They show almost no emotion or personality throughout the entire movie. The film has very little dialogue. There are some good moments, but they seem cheap. The plot is decent and there's some good poetry, but all of the good in this film is overshadowed by the characters that I had no desire to be with for 2.5 hours.
