The message behind this movie is really important and I do think it’s great that they wanted to bring attention to the neglect of baby girls in India. However, the execution of this movie destroyed every good intention it had. The acting was good but the plot was really boring and confusing. It definitely did give a good thriller but not what it was hyped up to be.

Probably one of the best hindi movies I’ve ever watched. The acting was extremely amazing and the story line had me hooked from the very beginning. This is the kind of movie you should not judge by the cover or in this case, the trailer. I thought it was just going to be another lame horror movie with lots of pop up scares and a predictable plot. This movie was the exact opposite. The movie was not scary, but a beautiful thriller that portrayed innocent love, heartbreak, and revenge in the most beautiful way possible. The ending broke my heart a little bit and I do think it was rushed but overall an amazing movie. I definitely recommend everyone to watch it and learn about the “traditions” from back then.

there are a lot of bad reviews on this which i was not expecting. i personally thought this movie was great. as someone who has read the book, i understand the characters were really flawed but i think bollywood did a great job. the cast was amazing and i was drawn to each character. i thought it was a great roller coaster and it really gave a new meaning to “you never know what’s going on behind closed doors”
