I’m of Bruce’s generation, and am a big fan. Beyond that, I am a British film buff. Both of those things said, “Blinded” moved me and appealed to me as a coming-of-age/portrait of the artist movie. The Bollywood-like dance sequence in the market moved and thrilled me. Well ;written and acted, realistic and consistently plausible, I recommend Blinded, even if you don’t know or revere Bruce. That it’s based on fact is an extra plus.

A cat and mouse gangster drama, filmed in a claustrophobic tailor shop, featuring Mark Rylance at his best as a cypher of a man whose strength and back story are revealed through well directed and filmed set pieces. Not flashy,, but quietly creepy and economically done with nothing unnecessary. Well worth the 90 minutes running time. An acting buff's dl;eght.
