Where do I begin? First off, the movie never explains the cause behind a civil war outbreak. It begins right in the middle of said conflict. Great performances by Pablo Escobar, Kirsten Dunst, and whomever the heavy set black actor was in the film. But that's about the only positives throughout.
Basically, a group of journalists travel more than 800 miles, as a means of getting to Washington D.C. to interview the U.S. President, and get the inside scoop on how to end the conflict. Does it ever get resolved? Unless you plan on seeing the movie yourself, don't get your hopes up.
The end result is an aspiring journalist and a so-called former war veteran going wherever the action is, and satisfying their obsession with getting the best coverage possible through photographs. Pass on this film if you're expecting a true, 21st Century look at what a domestic war in this country would look like.
