As with nearly all PBS presentations hope ran high hereabouts. All of us are big fans of Suranne Jones. But, oh my! Flat script, tedious direction, laughingly bad dialogue. The long and pointless breaks in dialogue could have been edited out and the disaster reduced to two episodes. It was impossible to like any character in this wooden and tedious mess. If we could have found anyone to dislike even a little that would have been a motivator for engagement.
