Interesting. I read several reviews before reading her book. I see Candace as a very proud Black woman who is unapologetic. I don’t see her disregard for the black community just an honest breakdown in the family and how they can rise up out of poverty if they stop making excuses. I feel the exact same for the poor, White Hispanic and and Asian Communities.. I choose to call it systemic poverty not racism. I live my country and everyone in it. I pray that each person. Reading her book will keep an open mind not closed before braking the seal of the cover. We live in the greatest country in the world. If we love it equally it will be a better place. Thank you Candace O, for trying to unite a broken group that has been hurt but can rise up without excuses but with hard work. Being an American is the greatest gift anyone can receive.
