A true love letter to the Dragon Ball Series, this game is made with passion for the source material. If you want something with a bunch of lore based references that isn't DBZA by TFS, this is the content for you. This is one of my favorite games to date, play it everyday and everything. Absolutely love it, but it has a few blatant and egregious flaws that will make you want to put your controllers through the tv and wall. I want to give it a 5 for being the best DBZ game I've ever played recently. I want to give it a 1 because it will eat over 65% of your inputs on any console, PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch, & Xbox; both offline and online on any type of controller (wired-in or not). The only one I can say it didn't eat inputs as aggressively is PC. The net-code is not only atrocious on every platform, it's distinctively laughable how they have completely made an excuse to ignore fixing it every time. (Keep in mind, some indie group found a way to give Smash Bros Melee [not Ultimate] Rollback Netcode, game overhaul or not, it can be a dedicated project that can be sorted by Bandai Namco/ArcSys fairly easily.) Noting as well, the ranked system is weird to play on, first to two is cool I guess, but the same doesn't apply to most online ranked based matches. Unfortunately, everything else about the game excluding the story mode is incredibly amazing. The drawbacks hinder what would be a 5/5 game any day for a fighting game. Game is well worth it on a good day.
