It is a decent game. Not amazing, not bad, but a good time. I don't think it does anything really revolutionary, but it introduces a good world with lots of tools to enjoy your own personal story. The main and side missions are a mixed bag, but overall were fun to do.
This is a game that is a perfect example of how steam reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. Or ignored altogether at times. Recently Starfield has been heavily review bombed. Reading many of the negative reviews, I see a pattern of "It shouldn't have won an award", and "It wasn't all the hype built it up to be".
I think the real question answered by a review is will you have fun playing it?. I did and I think most people will.
