"The Frog", the theme is very simple, when unfortunate incidents happen and you have no control over it, what would you do? How would you react and what are the consequences? In Korean folklore there's a saying where a frog got hit by a stone that was being played with by some boys. Now the frog was merely a collateral damage and it was no fault of his own. Now what if we apply the same to humans?
It might be a bit hard to understand at first but as far as I could understand the frog wants us to take initiatives so that bad things don't happen and no one has to suffer. If everyone follows it then there will be no frogs. Speak up so that no one has to suffer.
The cast were awesome and one really had to appreciate Go Min-Si, it was a complete 180 shift after Sweet home. She slayed it and so did all others. The location, lighting and music elevate the performance and keeps you booked.
I honestly felt it was a bit long. I could especially feel it in episodes 3-5 when it lost pace a bit and it was dragging but it certainly makes up for it in the last few episodes. I think ideally 5 or 6 episodes would've kept it more interesting. That's my thought but do give it a shot, thriller fans will enjoy it.
