It was soooo boring. The acting was so bad the movie was kind of funny at times. I'm not sure if it was the casting or directing that I disliked or just the butchering of a classic novel. The movie itself seemed pompous, as if it was a bunch of theater kids practicing random scenes that were designed to showcase their "acting" rather than to serve the purpose of storytelling to an audience. There were a few details that made no sense either that I can't explain without spoilers. Hollywood movies reeks of misery and entitlement this year. The cinematography was great though.

Not bad but lacking. Especially the end, which is the kind of ending that leaves the viewer to make up their own mind. The beginning was all foreshadowing shoved down our throats, but I think this movie might be the sort you can watch more than once and learn more; at the same time, I was falling asleep in the theater. Maybe an extra half hour would have given benefit because it was both rushed and overdrawn.

The preview was scarier than the film.

About time they did it right. So well acted and a great homage to Kurt Cobain.
