Complicated love story set against the Civil War and the alliances we end up making. Clark Gable's film craft is amazing.

I really enjoyed this highly stylized romp of razzle dazzle shoot-um up and will promptly see it again the first chance I get. At its core, Gundpowder Milkshake is a story of 2 intelligently fearless women, a mother (Lena Headey) and daughter (Karen Gillan), who made mistakes, owned up to them, and to protect their loved ones battled to a very bloody end. Of particular joy was watching the Librarians; Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh, and Angela Bassett, doing what they do best, outsmart and out maneuver the men who are trying to take them down. Go see it!

A Discovery of Witches is escapism at its absolute best. I totally loved all of the characters and story lines for each episode, and can't wait for the next 2 seasons! Swoon!!
