This project was clearly a rejected idea for a season of American Horror Story and someone then had the bright idea to loosely tie it to an American classic. Neither of these facts matter as on its own..the series in a fun watch with amazing sets and locations, over the top performances, and a monkey to boot. Not Great. But ultimately fun to watch for the colors and beautiful cinematography alone. It was rather gimmicky to use the Ratched character but I can see where it helped to market the project.
