Ella Bella

This is up there among the worst and most boring films I’ve had the misfortune to sit through. I’m still not sure what the point of it actually was. I hate being mean when it’s to do with a child but I need to be honest in saying that unlike some other reviewers I just didn’t rate the acting of the wee boy who played the main character. A lot of overacting and at times it felt like I was watching a school play. I had recently watched Angela’s ashes again and the acting from the young boys in that movie was amazing and so realistic that I would forget I was watching actors and especially one’s so young. I don’t get the high ratings for this film and if someone asked me to explain what it’s about I’m not sure I could. I did give up on it before the end mind you as I was falling asleep.

I really wanted to like it but it’s awful and I cringe at every episode. I’ve decided to stop watching because it’s going to ruin my enjoyment of watching repeats of Sex and the city. I’m a similar age to the three lead actresses (If I’m still allowed to say that?)Of course there have been changes to my views on certain issues over the years but I’ve not had a complete personality transplant.
