This book was not for me as I was trying to understand the source for all this rage. Off, instead presents a biased, fear mongering, criticism of conservative, wealthy, right wing politics, with limited examination of the left and their role in the conversation. Off supports redistribution of wealth by increased taxation of the rich, but fails to mention any impacts on innovation, investment and productivity. She also bemoans reduced government funding of news organizations, which is a likely reflection of her CBC career. This book seems to ignore the idea that there is centralist position and that every position is not either black or white. At the end of the day, reading this book offered no insights to the problem she is writing about.

The book is basically to have a decumulation plan making sure you are enjoying your wealth with experiences when you’re able to do so. Wealth without health is waste, so use it or lose it. Perkins identifies factors to consider when doing this planning. Some critics imply that this only works for wealthy people, but Perkins does indicate that not all experiences cost money so while you may not be able to do expensive things, get out and enjoy life, which at the end of the day, is not a bad attitude to have.
