I only got to see 'The Edge of Night' courtesy of Youtube. It had went off just before I start watching soaps. Unlike many traditional soap, the pace and action was a little more heighten here as that almost every storyline had to do with crime and legal issue , and mystery. It was a Procter and Gamble show, so the production, sets was always on point. It was easy to get hook on this, but it was surprising it stayed on so long as that it never had the emotional sentiment of its fellow show 'As The World Turns', 'Guiding Light' etc. Characters generally died or left with their stories. Lori Loughlin started here and in a unique murderous puppet storyline!! So did Julianne Moore before her Emmy winning turn on 'As The World Turns'. The opening sequence, especially the 1984 one, was quite catchy as well as the synthesized tune. The opening tune (from 1975 to 84) just spoke intrigue.
