i really enjoyed "i am not okay with this"! granted, i have never heard of/read the graphic novel which the series is based off of, so my opinion has nothing to do with that factor. this teen drama reminds me a lot of stephen king's carrie/heathers. the humor is dark/angsty yet the characters are still endearing. sophia lillis and wyatt oleff do wonderful work portraying their characters and have a great dynamic. i love wyatt as stan, truly. he made me genuinely laugh several times on screen. i like how the actors actually look and act like teenagers. the soundtrack is good. i like the retro style integrated into the scenes. there are a few draw backs, though. i think there are simply too many teen dramas. however, i like this one a lot more than other comparable programs. the pacing of the story seemed a little bit off, maybe episodes should be slightly longer, i'm not really sure. i feel that the story also wasn't very original, but also not extremely predictable either. maybe the 1st season is just "framing the scene" because i see a lot of possibility. i think the actor's performances are really what made the show. the 1st season sets viewers up clearly for a 2nd season and i'm ready for it!

i'm really late to the party, but i really like this series! tuca and bertie is original, with a great script and animation. i'm really sad it was canceled after only one season because this is the first animated netflix series i've seen that i enjoy.

did not finish the 1st season, and i don't plan to. the playlist rules- including tracks from snail mail and chastity belt, and maybe that will give them some deserved exposure. the plot is cliche and predictable.. a lot of trendy brands are name dropped with an attempt to be relatable...i guess. maybe its just more brain washing propaganda. theres enough teen dramas, every one more tired than the last.

the most cliche, boring plot and characters anyone could ever possibly conceive. p.s. didn't read the book. i can't imagine reading a book so boring. honestly, i couldn't even finish the movie.

Shane literally has one of the most obnoxious personalities I have ever witnessed. I typically love this kind of thing but he is so unlikable in my opinion that it's difficult to watch.

obnoxious and not funny... bad jokes. boring. depressing. sad. vapid. not even writing a full review because it ain't worth it.

you can skip this one. the characters are awkward (in a bad way). the series is almost uncomfortable to watch. it spotlights some pretty vanilla sex / social problems of upper middle class (mostly suburban) people. it's tedious and the stories don't have a good progression. plots don't get resolved. its boring. its not a comedy, not even a good drama. theres a lot of uncomfortable sex scenes. its actually a mess and makes you question "what was that?" makes me feel disillusioned with the modern world. i hate it honestly. hard pass.

the writing is okay. it has it's own originality. there are some funny moments, but, the humor is too crude for my taste. there are a lot of plainly gross sex jokes. i find the artwork hard to look at, it's honestly just ugly animation. it doesn't really hold my attention.
