This game is amazing. When this game first came out, I saw my cousin playing it and looked super fun. Unfortunately at the time I wasn't old enough to play (There's some blood). When I was finally old enough to play, I begged for it and got it for Christmas.
The game does take a bit getting used to, because you can't jump(only vault) and you can't heal. But when you get the hang of it and unlock some operators, it is really fun.
The main type of gameplay is Quick Match, where you are either on the Attacking team or Defending team. 5 players per team. The defending team protects either a hostage, a biohazard, or a bomb. The attacking team either tries to defuse the bomb, secure the area around the biohazard, or save the hostage. You can also win by eliminating the other team.
You unlock operators by playing matches and getting renown (The Rainbow 6 currency). In matches you get renown by damaging or killing opponents, lasting to the end of the match, or completing the objective. There are a total of 26 attacking operators and 26 defending operators. The operators have unique abilities such as a riot shield, gas grenade, and wall breaching. You only have one life until the next round and you can't heal (Unless you are the operator Doc or Finka).
My favorite thing about this game is the fact its fast pace and slow paced at the same time. It's not fast paced like the team death-match in Call of Duty, but it's not like super slow paced like a game like Fortnite or Warzone.
