This movie felt like major course correcting for the dumpster fire that was episode 8. One of my favorite moments was when Luke caught his lightsaber from Rey's throw and said "the weapon of a Jedi deserves more respect." The opening with Kylo and Palpatine was a dream come true. Revealing himself as the voice in Kylo's head and the creator of Snoke is perfect Palpatine the manipulator. And the final battle of "all the Sith" Palpatine vs "all the Jedi" Rey was a very appropriate fight. And Palpatine was just as powerful as he should've been so they handled his character right. I also liked that they had Rey actually with Poe and Finn for a good amount of time, as opposed to their solo adventures during 8.
As for my complaints,Finn still just yells "REEEYYYY" too much to the point that it's off putting. And although I'm very happy with the movie and its conclusion to the trilogy, it does feel a little weird that it's basically the same conclusion as episode 6, with the Empire being beaten a second time, and Rey is left standing in Luke's place.
Overall, this is a fitting end to the Skywalker saga and I love this movie. It also makes me wish that JJ directed all 3, as I can really look at ep 7 and 9 being a duology and forgetting about 8. I give this a 9/10 and I'm a very happy Star Wars fan
