A lot of drama for pirates! I get reinventing the pirate genre, but did they have ro take all the fun out of it? Feels more like Outlander than a good pirate romp. Full of all the stock characters from every other brooding, overly serious streaming drama that uses history as backdrop and, like them, is more enjoyable to look at than actually watch. Miss an episode or two and no big deal. The story is weighted down like stone ballast. Even Long John Silver lacks charisma. Why they bothered to billbthus as a prequel to Treasure Island I'll never know. These are the most sober, serious, brooding pirates ever put on screen.
