Mr. Goldman's performance is formidable.. I watched this movie when it came out in the theater and was mesmerized by the music and the acting.. I became an instant and lifelong fan of Gary Oldman.. I never forgot the movie. Its impact on me went deep. It is, in my opinion, a timeless and underrated classic..
