A most interesting layout of the novel, a tad disjointed to my mind. Quite depressing and dark. I live in a small country town and do not feel the despair and negativity pouring from this book. The positive was Captain Thunderbolt, what a treasure! But why not more of his lady, Mary Ann Bugg? A lost opportunity!
