I really enjoyed this book of Tenniel's. Found it in an op shop in Australia in 2022. I am looking online to see if he followed up on this story of his early life. Obviously this is a one and only. He wrote freely and honestly and it is a fun story. If you find it you will be glad to read it.

The Prayer Tree has made a lasting positive effect on my life since I discovered it in the 1980 s. Michael Leunig has a point of view so simple yet profound that his prayers and poetry are part of my communication with family and friends. I seems every life event can be lifted and enhanced by some line or whole verse. I'm reviewing The Prayer Tree now because I am researching a good price for yet another copy to give to a friend, and here was a chance to say how I love this best of all Michael's Books.
