Outstanding record! Took a couple listens at first to really feel the vibe of the songs, but once you start to get familiar with the songs, they are great fun! The album has a more classic funk style to it than their typical funk rock sound. The guitar is more minimalistic and the overall instrumentation feels very balanced. The vocals are excellent and experiment with some new methods as opposed to relying solely on old habits. The vinyl pressing is mastered beautifully straight from the master recordings with no destructive compression. This is a vintage style production and you can tell.
