I was a huge fan of the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe franchise as a kid in the 80s: both the Mattel toyline and the Filmation animated series. I was the boy who had the He-Man lunchbox, clothes, story books and cassette tapes, VHS rentals ... I even remember successfully securing He-Man Band-Aids at a Kmart. That was circa 1986, and I was five years old. Now it's 2021, I'm 40, and am thrilled to say that I'm now a huge fan of Masters of the Universe: Revelation. It gave me absolutely everything I was hoping for, and more, in terms of narrative, character development, artistic direction, score, cast ... Everything. Thank you to Kevin Smith and everyone at Mattel and Netflix. I'm 💯 on board, entertained, and am eagerly awaiting Part 2!
