Hands down this is the best book ever on mods for the Q-jet! It not only explains what and how to do the mods but explains the reason for the mods. Read it from cover to cover at least twice prior to pulling the carb of for mods it will save you a lot of having to keep looking back to "what size was that"?
your vehicle WILL run better than it has even when new.
Spend the extra $$ and get the tapered primary needles. It makes "fine tuning" a piece of cake. Well worth the $$
