I miss the days when watching football was an escape from the stress of life and craziness of our world. When sports 'unified us' as we cheered on our team 'together' regardless of skin color, gender, age, socio-economic status or political affiliation. The NFL has become political and is myopic in its approach, and in doing so is alienating fans who would like to see the deaths of law enforcement honored or children slain in the last few months with the increase in violence names on the back of helmets.
