I really like this movie. I normally don't like war films but this one is extremely well made. The plot is well developed and the characters and the settings come across as being very well researched and accurately interpreted. It's not a typical action movie as there are certain stretches that can be considered slow if you are watching out only for action scenes, which were pretty decent. The cinematography is realistic. There's not a lot of explicit violence or blood like Japanese films, neither does it make use of the landscape or colors the way the Chinese films do. Its quite middle of the road.
