I used to enjoy watching GMB but over the past years the interviewing techniques by your presenters has become argumentative and rude. I watched in dismay this morning when Suzanna Read and Ed Ball were absolutely so rude when interviewing the new Secretary to the Chancellor. Despite him attempting to answer their questions honestly, he was not allowed to do this and they continually barraged him to answer questions that were impossible to answer on decisions to be taken on spending in the coming months. You can guarantee if he had made the mistake of allowing them to bully a reply it would have been thrown back in his face at some point in the future. This type of interviewing causes unrest as they made it look like he was avoiding answering when to answer would have put him in their firing line at some point in the future. Despite Labour only being in power a few days he was expected to give a blow by blow account of what would be happening with spending on public services. Give them a chance (whatever your politics). He talked about growth and the need for growth but when he wouldn’t put an ideal figures on this again he was barraged by the interviewers. This type of interview technique just encourages the rudeness we are all experiencing in Britain today. Shame on you for allowing this to happen!!!
