5 Stars. Yes you heard that right.
Does it really deserve 5 stars? No. Does it deserve the 1 star it gets bombed with? HELL no. Realistically, this is a 4 star game, but the scales are well out of balance on this one so I am doing my part.
If you only play this game for an hour or two and then decide you know enough to leave a review, you are a moron.
Once you have your ship fixed up, we hit hyperdrive on the game itself. The fun really starts to ramp up. The upgrades you get as the story goes on definitely make up for how clunky the game feels to play in its introduction. It is a fun story to play through that's worth your time. The options you have to complete missions make the game feel like it's always offering something new and allows you plenty of space to think outside of the box in order to progress. But it also looks gorgeous! The most graphically impressive Star Wars game, beating Jedi Survivor hands down.
Are the combat and the stealth a little too clunky for a AAA game that's released in 2024? Yes. Is it less fun to have a blaster rather than a lightsaber? Of course. But it was a great ride and left me utterly charmed by the end. There's a reason they only really make games where you are a Jedi, and this game kind of shows us why, but for a game where you are limited to a blaster it does a decent job. This is a solid entry in the Star Wars universe.
Get off the first planet and explore Tatooine a little at the very least before youi make your minds up people.
