Gameplay is amazing but as a long time story driven gamer I was highly disappointed with the overall narrative. If you’re more of a gameplay focused gamer you’ll have hours of fun but If you are a fan of the first games story then you’ll be disappointed with the back and forth stories of trying to justify shock value deaths of different characters. As a long time fan of the stories of naughty dog this is the first X in my book so hopefully they get their stuff together and not rely on lazy story telling by using shock value. To naughty dog: I’m a fan of bittersweet endings but don’t take notes from game of thrones last season, instead look at major games like God of War (which handled a revenge narrative in a brilliant way), the latest Spider-Man, and rdr2 for inspiration. Unfortunately this is not a re-playable game for me and now regretting using up my systems memory for whatever this was supposed to be.
