I loved this book and cried over this book throughout and couldn't put it down. Such heroism in such an unbelievable time in history. I read books about WWII and have such a hard time understanding how this could have happened. How and why humans can do these things and live with themselves and justify what they've done, so hard to comprehend. This book was so well written and I will never forget Pino Lella or Anna Marta and their love story. This book will stay with me, this I know.
