Hesam Abhaji

As someone who doesn't listen to Persian Hip-Hop that much, because of the most of it being painfully mediocre and no-brainer, this record is an absolute masterpiece. The production of this record, by Mahdiar Aghajani, is definitely one of the best I've ever heard so far; plus the amazing wordplay of Hichkas, in which is incredible, conscious and smart. If you're not Persian, and do not even understand Persian, I'll still invite you to listen to this, for the beautiful, dark, fantastic instruments. I can assure you that you haven't listened to something like this anywhere.

It's a masterpiece but it's hard to digest and understand due to it being overwhelmingly complex; if you want to really understand some of its tracks you've got to sit down and listen to it with laser focus like ten times. If you don't like experimenting with music this isn't an album for you, but if you do? This is hella fricking album.
