I was really excited to see this movie and I really was and as an '80s baby watching this and loved the original to the core felt like I was let down majorly when this movie came into theaters. As a movie critic I have to be honest here.... The acting in this movie was horrific the only actress in this movie that stay true to her character was Ursula Melissa McCarthy stood true to her character not only in acting but also her voice she has a mimic that voice and has done it justice true to the original she was the only one I loved in this movie. King Triton was a softy the original King Triton you literally felt his anger you literally were scared of King Triton and don't get me started on Sebastian.... This guy could have been raspier in his voice and they caught us just stayed with the looks of the original character not a basic crab.... Flounder didn't even look like flounder but I must say that his voice was close to the original. The end horrible who the hell has a wedding in the castle where the hell was the ship where the hell was the part where she was literally dragged by flounder on a barrel to get to that ship when they realize Ursula was possessing Eric????? Where the hell was the ending kiss??? Where the heck was the singing in the beginning of the movie where all the sisters sang and they figured that she was missing the auditorium full of Mer people??? Disney I'm sorry but you had literally messed up this movie I was so excited that the beloved movie that I grew up watching and loving was ruined in just a blink of an eye it did not stay true to the story at the end it was great until the end us 80 babies the originals we don't like change keep it the same so far I like out of all the life ones beauty and beast that's the only one that stayed true to the story
