Turning Red
I absolutely loved this movie and so did my 3 daughters ages from 2 to 8. For those parents who feel that the religious aspect was "wrong" (and yes I am a Christian) it was absolutely Not Wrong or inappropriate for the setting of this movie. The Princess and The Frog was Voodoo but parents did not freak out over that nor do they freak out over Aladdin that has Muslim tones like saying praise Allah several times nor do they seem to have a problem with Jafar being twice Jasmine's age and forcing himself on her throughout the movie....so on and so on.! For those who say that Mei Mei twerking for a whole 2 minutes at the end "The Majority of those same parents" allow their children to listen to worst explicit music and music videos. As a Girl Mom I feel it is important to talk to your daughters early about the "delicate flower" as the movie puts it as early as possible because girls now a days are growing up and "Starting" a whole lot earlier than they used to. As far as people being upset that they seemed to make the Red Panda seem to be an Angry Animal "like it was a curse" I'm sorry but you missed the entire point!!!!! Their Ansecstor received the Red Panda as a way to protect her family and village from harm which Yes any Animal when afraid for themselves or their love ones will be Aggressive and defend them. The Ansecstor was given the Red Panda simply because they were her favorite. As time and the families cultural surroundings changed so did the seen dangers for those given the gift of the Red Panda, so if they didn't CHOSE to use it for anger it would not be Aggressive!!! I could go on but I wont. Disney/Pixar did great with this movie. No one seems to have an issue with Toy Story's innuendos..... Buzzz, Woddy, Po Beep, Legs.......
