I do not like writing reviews on movies but I felt this one deserves one. I am a massive DC and Marvel fan so couldn’t wait to see The Batman. I honestly wish I could say I enjoyed almost 3 hours of a movie but I do not want to lie! Robert Patterson is a great actor and I love watching movies with him involved but playing Batman, I’m sorry but his portrayal of the caped crusader would have been the worse to date. I’m not sure if the casting crew were trying to change who Bruce Wayne / Batman is but they really missed the mark with this one! And come on, when has Batman even been afraid to jump off a building? The riddler, hmm really not sure what to say apart from uninterested! Cat woman, did the production company run out or money or just forgot an outfit for Cat woman and through let’s just grab the closest thing we can find! No thought put in for the character, Zoe Kravitz did a lovely job with this role but sorry wardrobe let her down. Carmine Falcone played by the very talented John Turturro, this character was also portrayed in a very mediocre way, I felt like he was reading his lines from a board and really hasn’t done a great or even good job with the so called “mob boss” character. The Penguin - played by Colin Farrell, what an amazing job done! The Penguin hasn’t got a major presence in this movie but every seen was played very well by Colin! My mum said she didn’t mind it, my teenage daughter fell asleep as she said it was boring, I should have fallen asleep so I didn’t have to sit through almost 3 hours of a B grade movie, friends have asked what I thought and my honest opinion is… i would rather watch paint dry or the grass grow! All in all I wouldn’t waste your movie on this one, wait for it to become available on your streaming service so you can click stop and move on to the next movie!
