Imagine if a DnD campaign was strictly PvP, incredibly slow, completely focused around Capitalism despite actual Satan threatening the world, and worked in Mario Party rules with no Mini Games except for Rock Paper Scissors, and at any moment at all Chance Time could happen.
Story mode, the only good mode in my opinion, will probably take a good 30 hours or so to beat, and is only fun when played Multiplayer.
The class system is incredibly fun, easily the best part of the game, and if you're doing the 30 something hours of Story mode you can experience every class in one game if you know what you're doing, probably other than Hero because there's no point in going into Dungeons other than to unlock certain classes.
Overall, I adore the game, personally. It plays like a wild TTRPG with wack crazy rules, but without a real human GM to bend the rules for you when you wanna be kinda silly.
And like any other TTRPG, if you don't have friends to drag through it with you, it's not worth playing.
