Hands down the worst movie I have ever seen. It had potential to be amazing but the acting was terrible, flat, and cringe-worthy. It feels like a cheap B-movie that just strings bad actors together while clinging desperately to a bigger named actor to carry the movie. Makes sense, as it didn’t even gross half of what the budget was to make it. The circus leader who held the mermaid captive was probably the worst actor I ever witnessed, I’m not exaggerating. Flat acting on the whole, with cheesy inflections added in to feign some level of talent. I even saw production equipment and smoke machines poorly hidden in the background of some scenes. This movie was painful and difficult to get through. I was really disappointed. It turned into a joke early on but soon even lost that aspect as it just made my friends and I cringe repeatedly, or fall asleep. Like a train wreck in progress, I kept watching out of sheer horror. Long story short, skip it.
