The confusion does not lead to a sense of drama. The same story of confusion and repetition never stops.

I've been watching if very carefully, after reading the "glowing" review in the New Yorker of its lead actress. However, this movie is so poorly made, it about measures up to another such "similar" film: American Pastime: extremely poor pacing, weird synapses, and improbable words at the too scripted times. It's just too "artsy" for eyes. Horrible.

i've just watched one episode. Too much going on. Too much drama, with too clever repartee. People, ordinary people, aren't that quick on the uptake. This isn't humor, like M*A*S*H, nor someplace you'd expect to see a lot of drama, such as an ER. It feels like a teenager drama, I guess.

This series is so overblown with its only real issue--that of snobbery--that it lacks tension. I found it unwatchable after the third episode. We don't understand where any of the "old" money comes from, or even how the newcomers money is made, so an entire backdrop is lacking. The characters were flat, as well.
