Howie Kurtz is a seasoned radio and television personality, who provides solid reporting about current events, politics, and the media. He's always worth listening to, but today his reportage of the Tennessee legislature ousting was way off the mark. He neglected to reveal that the three legislators who were ringleaders at the capitol riot, were not peacefully demonstrating. They disrupted the legislative session, commandeered the podium for over an hour, and even used a bull horn that was secretly smuggled onto the floor of the house. According to state law, this is a misdemeanor and totally against legislative rules. The perpetrators deserve their fate, and do not deserve to be allowed back.
Representative Johnson, a white, middle-aged, leftist legislator, did not claim racism until after the rulings by her peers. Howie, this was shocking in its bias.
