Saw it decades ago (1960) when I was 10 with my mother. I think it was on the Early Show. The grainyness of the film and the scratchy sound captivated me (i think it was the first time I had seen subtitles) but slowly the plot grabbed me too. Eventually the people of the night found him and took him in the sewers and had a REAL TRIAL. Actors plot scenery dialogue superb!!!! 👌👍

Frustratingly beautiful. Found myself talking to the screen telling him and her what to do. He should stop acting like a dick and she should acting like a victim. Both characters frustrated me...for real...I have seen and know both characters in life.
