Just enjoyed the final episode of season 2 and am glowing. However I read that Netflix will not renew the series for further seasons. After so many years of low brow sci fi borrowed from network TV, Netflix made a wise choice in The OA. This was a powerful, thoughtful, and deeply intellectual excursion into spirituality, metaphysics, and science theory. Admittedly I am fully satisfied with the finale of the season, if it were over for good. Of course I wait for Amazon Prime to pick it up as they did for The Expanse.
Back to the show, being someone that thinks and perceives the world with multilayered comprehension, I need television that challenges me. Another super-hero crime drama or vampires trying to navigate social minefields is fine if you don't want to think about what you watch. If you want to walk away from an episode only to continue interpreting and enjoying what you watched, then OA and carry on.
