I thought the entire show was so overacted that it seemed so fake and catoonish, esp Taraji Henson's role. I really disliked it intently, -- unless it was geared only for children, which I am not. I watched Shrek, again, recently, and as always, loved it and was so amazed at how it appealed to adults as well as children. This show doesn't do that and the good reviews puzzle me to no end. I've never seen any other version of Annie and so have nothing to compare it to; if this is how it's supposed to be, I'm glad I never spent any money on it or any more of my time.
