I almost didn’t finish the first episode. It starts slow and didn’t grab my interest. A friend gave the series good reviews so I came back to it. That being said, I didn't love it but it’s also “real life” made into TV and real life is messy. I didn’t feel sorry for Martha, she was cruel and manipulative with Donny. Initially it’s hard to understand why Donny didn’t go to the police until he tells his backstory. Then his reason makes more sense. I’m amazed at how little the police did do and how quickly they were manipulated by Martha a know offender. If you appreciate true crime with violence and twists watch and avoid the spoilers that are everywhere.
