Really enjoyed the first two episodes! I love Agatha and cannot wait to see where the story goes. She’s super savage which I find amusing but it could get tiring if she doesn’t have any character development (I imagine she will though based on interviews). I love that it’s mostly practical effects, too!

Ignore the reviews comparing it to Monk. Just enjoy it for what it is because it is different, and that's ok. I knew nothing about the show going into it and I was hooked after the first episode. The characters are endearing and you learn a little bit more about each of them as it progresses. Even Ormewood is likable by the end. It is dark but done in a way that is not overly harrowing and there are some light hearted moments thrown into the mix. The "woke" elements are there in the background of the story and it is kind of obvious at times rather than natural. I have only seen season 1 so far and so I hope that season 2 feels a little less forced in that department. I'm very pleased that it has been renewed for a third season and I cannot wait to watch it!

The best part of the show was Manny Jacinto, if you know, you know. Eye-candy aside, this was lame and worked hard to destroy so much of the lore. Moreover, it left more unanswered questions than a complete story should. The two "cameos" were less than 3 seconds long and did nothing to help the story along. I would have preferred it if they were not there. I feel like there was a good story in there to begin with and perhaps too many people making suggestions of how to be more "Star Wars-y" ruined it. Who knows. I wish we had received more of a back story to the witches and how Mae & Osha were actually created, that would have been a really cool episode. We get that the Jedi are flawed but this just takes it to a whole new level of stupidity. And would Vernestra's dim assistant (Mog) type guy really have qualified as a Jedi? I highly doubt it. Yet another disappointment from Disney. Lucas Film and Marvel should not have sold their souls.

Thoroughly enjoyable. All characters are endearing. Not a faultless show but I liked it and that’s what counts. At the end of the day, I was entertained.

The best parts about this movie are Arthur and Orm. The worst parts are Mera and Atlanna. I found the scenes with Amber Heard very cringey and it’s clear that they’ve worked hard to minimise her onscreen presence. The movie is fun and made me laugh in places but also made me cringe. It’s not as terrible as I expected it to be.

I think this movie is underrated. It’s full of levity but also sad in places and there’s great on screen chemistry between the characters. The story is wrapped up nicely and the door is left open for more.

This movie is getting more hate than it deserves. Kamala Khan is the best part of the film. Yes, there are some shaky moments and Zoe’s character was not well written at all but there’s a lot of fun moments which redeem the movie overall for me.

Some of the best content Marvel has made. I really hope they keep making seasons!

I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I have tried to stay positive throughout Phase 4 and into Phase 5, but I am, unfortunately, again disappointed by a new Marvel release. In short, there was absolutely no weight to the show or the deaths in it. They did several characters dirty; for example Soren, Talos, Maria Hill, Everett K Ross, Pagon, Beto, Jack Hyuk-Bin (the Asian man on the Skrull Council with no lines). So much more could have been done with everyone I have listed and it was such a shame not to see more character development, or at least the beginnings of it. The best part of the show was without question the acting. Sam Jackson, Olivia Coleman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Don Cheadle all gave outstanding performances. I loved the addition of Vara (not going to spoil who this is) and it was fun to see the interactions between Nick and Sonya. The scenes with Don and Sam J were also some of the best moments. Overall, however, the story lacked any real gravity. There was little to no real tension that one would expect from a spy thriller and as I have said earlier, a lot of the characters were massively under-utilised. The writing and editing really let the show down which is such a shame because I really feel like this could have been Marvel(Disney)'s chance to show critics that they can nail espionage. It wanted to be Captain America 2, which is arguably the closest Marvel has come to making a true spy thriller, but ultimately failed even to match that. More explanation of the science was needed too. The best release since End Game has been GOTG3 and that was James Gunn's project which I know he guarded as best he could. Marvel need to centralise their story telling a bit more because right now they are flailing in lots of directions creating cash grabs and it really feels like they have lost the passion for bringing fandom to life and making fans proud, which was made the MCU so magical in phases 1-3.

The visuals are stunning but the story is dumb already. If you don’t own the rights to something don’t try to make a show about that period and twist the history. Choose something you do own the rights to OR just buy the rights in the first place! I can see this will only get worse which is heartbreaking because Amazon is probably the only company with the money to really bring Tolkien to life but instead they’ve chosen to crucify his world. It gets two stars simply because the orcs look great and the visual effects for the landscapes and cities are fantastic.
