Too Gun Maverick is an enjoyable pop corn movie.
It's certainly worth watching, especially in IMAX.
The aerial photography and stunts are amazing especially given that Cruise insisted they be done for real with no CGI.
Other than that however the plor and the dialogue are lacking.
The dialogue is full of obvious movie cliches, so much so that at times it sounds like a parody of itself and this type of movie.
It's all predictable and derivative.
Nothing much happened that was original or surprising.
But it's biggest flaw was that the mission itself, the main reason for the film, is an obvious rip off of the original Star Wars mission to destroy the Death Star.
This is a fun movie but it's obvious that the focus was in the stunts and not much thought was given to anything else.
