The Fall Guy is a well made movie to watch. Written as a love letter for the stunt community this movie will certainly entertain you with crazy action sequences and funny comedic moments. The actors played well in their parts but to me I thought Ryan Gosling proves himself that he is Kenough for this job as a leading man and acted well in his performance.
The story is fine itself although it could have been written better. The romance between Ryan's and Emily's character is good but it was getting kind of annoying because of its repetition. For example there was this one scene where Colt enters the building to search for Howie and then he gets a phone call from Jody and they spend a long conversation talking and talking about the movie they are going to create and the main story gets sidelined because of it. Like cmon can't he say something like "Sorry Jody I'm busy i'll call you again" because I was more interested in the plot than their relationship.
The stunt action sequences are some of the best I've seen in a long time. Cars rolling around, falling through the air, and crashing through glass to the ground. They genuinely feel like they are real and makes up for some of the lackluster parts of the story. Me personally I think they are much better than some of the garbage that Marvel has tried to produce with their CGI sluggish action scenes.
Also I loved that the movie uses the KISS song, "I Was Made for Loving You" This song has had some kind of resurgence this year because Godzilla X Kong also had it as well. But I can see why they chose it because it's such a banger and compliments a scene well if it's done right. (Seriously I dont think any other song would have worked)
In conclusion I give this movie a 5 out of 5 stars it's well deserved and I highly recommened it watching it in cinemas.
